Is Kobaru a custodial service?

For standard on-chain operations, Kobaru is non-custodial. However, our Fiat Settlement service requires temporary custody to receive funds, convert them, and deposit them into your bank account.

Do I need to manage crypto to use the service?

At the moment you'll need a Solana, Base, or SKALE-compatible wallet to receive payments. Our roadmap includes hybrid settlement where businesses can choose to receive funds directly in fiat.

Who pays for the network fees (gas)?

Kobaru covers all network fees (gas) for your transactions. We bundle these costs into our service fees, so you don't have to worry about maintaining separate digital asset balances.
